March Is for Marriage!

Wow it has been a whole since I wrote! I've been very busy keeping up with life and school continues to try to get the best of me. A very exciting thing I have been working on lately is the wedding of two dear couples to us. My sweet friend Nikki will wed Andrew on June 9th and Daniels brother Matthew will wed his dear bride Cristen June 16th. This is such an exciting time to be sharing with each of them.

Last weekend I took on the task of a bridal shower for Ms. Nikki. It was sort of a challenge for this out of town chic but I was able to pull it off and thank the good Lord my lovely parents snuck out of the house and let me pull the shindig off at their wonderful abode. It was such a fun time and we were able to gather with old friends we haven't seen since graduation (4 years ago! Wow time flies!) All of last week I spent preparing for the shower and thank the Lord again I was out on spring break so I was able to devote all my attention to it. And let me tell you I pulled out all the stops for this sweet girl! And thanks to pinterest (or maybe not) I was inspired with many ideas to create. Among the crafty creations were a tulle wreath, a towel cake, modge podged letters, a fingerprint guest book, cupcake decor, a banner, fun games, darling favors, and food labels. I must say I was quite proud of how this "around the clock" themed shower went down. Here are a few photos for you to feast your eyes on:
Meanwhile we have been trying to get the house looking fantastic still. Between these other projects, coming home, and Daniels work schedule we have been a little delayed. But it's looking good for us to get some work done this weekend! Tonight and last night Daniel spent preparing the lawn for this spring season by cutting the grass. And boy was that a task due to the millions of pine cones that fall so often from the 100 pine trees. Tuesday night I worked in my craft room hanging shelves and getting things organized and cute looking! Next week Daniels family is going to stop by on their way thru town as they travel to the girls competition in Myrtle Beach (which I am super excited about! We will be heading down on Friday after work and I am so stoked to get to spend the weekend watching their amazing talents as well as spending it with Daniels sweet family) to see what we have done since they saw it last, which was when they helped us love in. So we are working really hard to get some new projects done to show off to them as they stop by.

We love our home! Everyday it feels so wonderful to come home to this beautiful place! And as the weather gets prettier and days get longer it is so wonderful to see all of our wonderful neighbors out for strolls.

Enjoy the warm evenings as well!
Until next time,
XOXO
