So I realized lately that I have failed as a blogger at a couple of things:
1. I never posted photos of our outside house renovations. This is partly for two reasons, one because I'm a slacker, two because I wanted to get a few more things done before I posted them but those have yet to happen so I'm thinking it's best to go ahead and do it so it's not next year when I post them.
2. I haven't posted photos of my fall decor I have made and put up around my house.
So to earn my way back into your hearts I promise to post those two things this week! Cross my heart!
So in the meantime Weekend Festivities!
This past weekend we spent, as usual with Whit and Cam! You might just automatically assume every weekend that we did that. :) Ok, ok.
Friday night, we did take a little time to go on a date. We got spiffied up and went to a "new to us" Asian place, where we tried sushi for the first time. It was very enjoyable and the food wasn't too bad either! It was a nice time to just get away with the hubby for a romantic date night!
Saturday we took it easy and did a little shopping. Then we welcomed the evening once more with dinner and football. We met Cam & Whit and the other couple we met through them, Melissa and Kelly, at the Chili's by our house and had a yummy dinner then headed back to our house for a little dessert and company.
Sunday we visited a new church and then headed to grill out with guess who. We threw together a little picnic lunch and I must say it turned out quite well. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed grilling some brats and sharing in laughter!
Great weekend in the rearview, but I was not excited to welcome a new week, especially when I woke up with a sore throat yesterday and a runny nose today. O well. Hopefully improvement will come as I start to take the meds to make me better! In the meantime, get ready for the fun posts to come about the house and house decor!
XOXO,
Whitney
P.S. - The 2 year anniversary is a week from today, so get ready for a few good blog posts about me and my dearest!
