Thankful Thursday
9:31 AMIf you follow anyone in the blog world you may quickly see the common posts on Thursdays entitled Thankful Thursdays. So today I figured I would jump on the bandwagon and share what I am most thankful for.
1. My salvation
Everyday I am constantly reminded how wonderful it is to be a daughter of the King. He is always there for me and knows what I need and when I need it. It is a constant reminder that he is in control of things and has a perfect plan for my life if I will just let go. Letting go is the hardest part, but I am thankful he accepts me just as I am with my flaws and helps me learn to get past that.
2. My dear husband
The Lord has blessed me with a terrific husband. I know I have spoke about him before on the blog and about how handy and all he is but that is only a glimpse at how great he is. He is my rock when I'm sinking, he comforts me when I'm scared or down, he cares genuinely for me, he loves me, he works his stinking butt off for me, he is hilarious, he is calm, he is very optimistic. The list could go on and on. I'm not sure if it just because of all the marriages that have gone on around me this summer or with our 2 year anniversary quickly approaching, but I am constantly reminded how amazing it is to be married to my best friend. To wake up every day knowing that he has my back! Not many people get to be this lucky!
3. Living in the USA
I know there is a ton of talk going on currently with the upcoming election but what I find this constantly reminds me of is how we forget sometimes that we have a privilege to get to vote for our future. A lot of people have downgraded the US and how it is sinking and they would rather live somewhere else, but at the end of the day we ultimately have it made. We don't have to worry about someone telling us how to act, dress, work, what religion to believe in, how many kids to have, who to marry. No we are free! Traveling to Haiti last August allowed me to see firsthand what it is like to live in a 3rd world country. I must say I always knew we had it great living in the US, but until I traveled there I did not truly understand what it was like. We can't even go without a meal much less A/C indoors! So today I am truly thankful that I was born in the US!
4. Fall
Fall is just around the corner and I am so excited to decorate my house and see the leaves change colors. Back in GA, living in the north GA mountains we got to live daily in a picturesque scenery. The mountains combined with the beautiful fall leaves is something no one should go without seeing and will constantly remind you of how amazing of a creator we have.
Of course there are many more things I am thankful for, but today these are a few that are on my heart.
I hope everyone is doing great and if you read my last post you'll understand you need to "Make it a Good Thursday"!
XOXO
