This is our God!

So needless to say we liked the house. We walked back through it one more time and began to see what we could make out of this house. We got in the car and left and told them we would let them know something the next day. As we drove home and the entire evening thereafter, I was so overwhelmed with emotions. I was happy because I loved the house and would really love to have it, but at the same time I was scared to death. I mean a house is a MAJOR purchase and it would for sure tie us down here for several years. Was that what we really wanted?

After much discussion with Daniel that evening, Daniel was calm and collected as could be. He was ready to march forward with this deal. I on the other hand needed a little more convincing. But then I was quickly reminded to remember this wasn't about us. It was about God's plan for us. God is continually working in mine and Daniel's life, from when we first met to now He has been in every step we have made. Since moving to S.C., one of our biggest struggles was finding a church that we belonged to and felt like God was calling us to. We wanted to be back home at OUR church, Fellowship Church, where we had been for the past 5 years. That was our home and where our church family was. For 2 years we visited about 5 churches here in Columbia, and either they were too far from home or weren't where God was calling us. This lead to us going home often just to be able to go to our F.C. This became very disheartening for us as we knew we wanted/needed to be apart of a church family here, and unfortunately leaded to a little burnout on our part. Finally one Sunday in the beginning of November we decided to give a church I had found online, The River Church, a try. It was only about 15 minutes away from our house, which was perfect considering Daniel's call schedule.

Surprised again......as we sat down for lunch that Sunday, we both quickly agreed that we LOVED that church! We both felt like it was our home! We couldn't wait to go back the next Sunday. This was huge for us! We had been looking for this for a long time! Needless to say, it was the next week when we found the house....a little coincidental are you thinking.....NOPE.....that's just how OUR GOD works!! So after all, the timing of finding a church we fell in love with and a house we fell in love with as well in the same week was a little overwhelming and we took it as our sign from God that this our plan!!

So as we woke up that next Monday morning, I made a phone call to Renee, the real estate agent, and told her we wanted to put an offer in. I was freaking out. If you know me, you know I am the one who gets all worked up about things and this time was definitely not an exception! The entire day I couldn't believe we would be signing our names on a home offer that evening. Me and Daniel met after work at her office and she went over everything in the contract with us. Whew, was it a lot of legal terms and lingo!! But after 2 1/2 hours, we signed to make an offer $10,000 less than the asking price. Also, with the seller's paying all closing costs and paying for all inspections, home, sewer, HVAC, termite, etc. AKA....They were paying for everything!!!! We were thinking there was no way they would take it, but it didn't hurt to make the offer!

I'll leave you hanging until tomorrow to see if they accepted to offer or not?????? Did we have to make a re-offer to get the house??

Oh and by the way, I'm sure you are dying to see the house by now so here is a quick glimpse of the outside
